ILJ works with numerous state and local criminal justice agencies on decisionmaking, procurement, implementation, strategic planning, and impact evaluation of technological acquisition and integration. ILJ has also researched many issues relating to computer aided dispatch systems in connection with agency objectives such as community policing support, problem solving, and data development.
ILJ has fielded a national working group for assessing public acceptance of new technologies in law enforcement efforts and participates, as an organization, in all available technological advances in the field, from Internet-based conferencing to a variety of telecommunications strategies for research purposes and for improvement of criminal justice systems.Police Information and Telecommunications Systems
