COPS Reports from the Field

The Institute for Law and Justice in cooperation with the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is compiling 300 reports highlighting some of the most promising community policing projects implemented with COPS funding over the past seven years.  These brief “Reports from the Field” encompass sixteen grant programs (see below).

Law enforcement agencies across the country, including U.S. territories, are invited to participate in the COPS Reports from the Field: Community Policing Innovations project. The reports explain the focus of individual projects, implementation strategies, partnerships formed, and challenges faced. Approximately 250 reports are now available on the web.  They can be accessed by state, and the entire file can be searched.  COPS grantees are also encouraged to nominate their projects for inclusion.  For more information, go to http://www.COPSReportsFromTheField.org.
