Community Policing InnovationsThe Reports from the Field: Community Policing Innovations project began at the end of last year. This project is being coordinated from ILJ’s west coast office. Under a grant from the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) office, ILJ will compile reports on innovative uses of sixteen COPS grants. The agencies will be selected from across the United States and territories. In addition to evaluating submissions from the agencies, twenty-five agencies will be visited for further information gathering. The final product for this project is 300-400 reports in hardcopy and CD-ROM format. The project will be completed by the end of 2002.
