Technology Acquisition Project

Objectives
  • Develop guidelines
  • Describe changing landscape of information technology in law enforcement
  • Identify organizational (capacities, financial) constraints and needs that impact acquisition.
  • Identify critical success factors
  • Discern patterns in the 4 phases.
  • Compile list of resources of organizations, research material, vendors, etc.
  • Create recommendations
  • Raise the awareness of law enforcement community about information technology acquisition issues.
  • Assess the impact of funding of IT and IT administration
