The Office of
Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS), U.S. Department of Justice,
will be holding Regional Grants Management Training Seminars at various
locations across the country. These one and a half-day seminars are
designed specifically for people responsible for the programmatic and
financial administration of grants awarded from Federal grant-in-aid
programs administered by the COPS Office. All topics will be taught and
presented by knowledgeable and experienced COPS staff. If you are a COPS in Schools grant award recipient, please be aware that attendance at a Regional Grants Management Training Seminar may not be substituted for attendance at a mandatory COPS in Schools Training session. COPS Tribal Resources Grant Program (TRGP) grantees receiving their first TRGP award are required, as a condition of their award, to send two representatives to attend one Regional Grants Management Training Seminar. Grantees who receive COPS funds through other hiring programs also benefit from attending these seminars and are encouraged to attend, although attendance is not a condition of such awards. We are no longer accepting registrations for the 2002 Regional Grants Management Training Seminars. Check this website in the coming months for information on the dates, locations, and on-line registration for the 2003 series.
