Stat. 455.080 authorizes, but does not require, local agencies to establish procedures for dispatchers and officers to learn about prior calls. Cal. Penal Code 13702 requires local agencies to establish policies and standards for dispatchers in responding to calls about domestic violence and violations of orders of protection.
