Senior Research Associate
Criminal justice research and consulting firm, with over 20 years experience, in Old Town, Alexandria (VA), has an immediate opening for an experienced, self-starter to serve as project director on criminal justice research and evaluation projects. Responsibilities include a variety of research methods, survey design and analysis, analyzing data, interviewing, writing reports and proposals. Requirements include Ph.D. (criminal justice or social sciences), experience on criminal justice research efforts, experience with standard statistical packages, excellent oral and writing skills, and willingness to work hard in a fast-paced but friendly and supportive environment. Experience in studies of violence against women is a plus. Some travel required. Salary based on experience (starts at $70,000) plus excellent benefits (health care, pension). EOE.
