For the National Fire Information Council, ILJ developed a program for microcomputers to allow fire departments to easily enter incident and casualty reports. Based on the Version 4 NFIRS system, the program produces records in the required format to facilitate a national fire incident reporting system. The program also includes interactive edit checks to ensure that all fields are valid NFPA 901 codes. The program operates on IBM microcomputer and all compatible systems. The Micro NFIRS software package was distributed, including four diskettes, one INFIRS User's Manual for the input program, and one User's Guide for the system. Over 600 orders for the system have been filled. ILJ conducted two-day training programs for Micro NFIRS users and responded to new user questions about the system.
