For the United States Fire Administration, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), ILJ produced the Fire Data Analysis Handbook. This handbook covers many statistical techniques, including development of frequency distribution, categorical data analysis, analysis of variance, correlation and regression, and queuing analysis. ILJ analyzed actual data from fire departments across the country and used the analysis to develop examples and sample problems for the book. ILJ also conducted two seminars on the use of the handbook in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and Boston, Massachusetts.
