Advanced Technology for Criminal
Justice
ILJ works with numerous state and local
criminal justice agencies on decisionmaking, procurement, implementation, strategic
planning, and impact evaluation of technological acquisition and integration. ILJ has also
researched many issues relating to computer aided dispatch systems in connection with
agency objectives such as community policing support, problem solving, and data
development.
ILJ has fielded a national working group for assessing public acceptance of new
technologies in law enforcement efforts and participates, as an organization, in all
available technological advances in the field, from Internet-based conferencing to a
variety of telecommunications strategies for research purposes and for improvement of
criminal justice systems.
