ILJ conducted a telephone survey of over 400 federal agencies that have funds, goods, or services available to the field of corrections and developed a comprehensive handbook for dissemination to the field. The handbook includes details concerning the benefits available to corrections from the federal government, eligibility, special requirements, and the means by which the potential recipient of service would initiate appropriate contact with the agency. The document, which includes over 200 entries, provides a ready resource for correctional practitioners as they attempt to access the federal systems.
