Use of Microcomputers in Law Enforcement

For the National Institute of Justice, ILJ documented the success of law enforcement agencies use of microcomputers in key application areas including crime analysis, drug investigations, patrol allocation models, training records, and many others. The report described police departments that have exemplary microcomputer systems. It also covered several related topics including use of database packages and spreadsheets, training needs, and the purchase of outside software packages versus in-house development.
