Economic Analysis Training

The Law Enforcement Assistance Administration funded Technical Assistance Resource Centers at Northeastern and Washburn Universities. In connection with these centers, ILJ staff developed training materials and hosted a series of workshops in economic analysis, in which 200 regional and state criminal justice planners were trained in economic analysis. The training used participants' research problems and case study material on the application of cost analysis, comparative costs, cost-effectiveness, and cost-benefit techniques to the criminal justice system.
