ILJ has helped federal grantees in the criminal justice fields around the United States learn more about technology planning, acquisition, implementation, program compliance, and assessment. Key training topics have included: strategic IT planning for community policing, writing RFPs and developing other procurement options, organizational change as driven by technology, challenges with vendors, and project management techniques. Training relates to specific technologies such as computer assisted dispatch, records management systems, automated booking, laptops (hard- and software), the Internet, soft- and hardware for crime analysis/mapping, and more.
